This DIY digital cricket scoreboard features nine digits and uses 5-inch displays. All modules come fully assembled, and your task is to mount them on a wooden board or create a suitable setup to make it both attractive and functional for your game.

Features

  • Rudimentary Design: This basic digital scoreboard is programmed using an Arduino and an FTDI basic breakout board.
  • Size Options: Available in three sizes – 2.3-inch, 5-inch, and 10-inch. This particular model uses 5-inch displays.
  • Control via App: Operate the scoreboard with the SCORE-C app.
  • Dual Scoreboard Control: The app allows you to control scores on two scoreboards simultaneously.
  • Bluetooth Communication: Scores are transmitted to the displays via Bluetooth.
  • Non-Volatile Memory: The scoreboard retains its display even if the Bluetooth connection is lost.
  • Simultaneous Module Testing: All five modules can be tested simultaneously.
  • Power Requirement: The 5-inch scoreboard operates on a 15V power supply.

Scoreboard Modules

  1. Scoreduino-C:
    • Functions similarly to an Arduino UNO.
    • Uses the Atmega328P-PU chip and can be programmed with an FTDI basic breakout board.
    • Can also be built using Arduino Nano, Arduino Pro Micro, or Arduino Mini boards.

  2. Target Display:
    • Three-digit display using 2.3-inch common anode seven-segment displays.
    • Controlled via the SCORE-C app or physical up/down buttons.
    • Displays the first innings score.
    • Board Dimensions: 323.83 mm x 157.48 mm
  3. Overs Display:
    • Controlled via the SCORE-C app or physical up/down buttons.
    • Displays the number of overs bowled.
    • Board Dimensions: 218.42 mm x 157.48 mm
  4. Wickets Display:
    • Controlled via the SCORE-C app or physical up/down buttons.
    • Displays the number of wickets lost.
    • Board Dimensions: 113.03 mm x 157.48 mm
  5. Total Display:
    • Displays the second innings score.
    • Board Dimensions: 323.83 mm x 157.48 mm

Power Supply

The 5-inch SCORE-C cricket scoreboard requires a 15V power supply to operate efficiently.
